The Electric Assist™ is available for all of our industry leading pedicab models. Perfect for heavy loads and hilly terrain. MSP uses Heinzmann front-wheel hub motors. These gear reduced motors utilize high quality rare earth magnets and brushed discs. A handlebar throttle allows the operator to control the amount of power. Two large batteries are housed below the cab body on the frame. The 24-volt electrical power supply is separate from the 12-volt lighting system. MSP's three-wheeled vehicles equipped with these motors are within the federal guidelines for electric assist bicycles and are considered power-assist electric bicycles. Heinzmann electric assist motors are easily added to existing pedicabs. Many customers order their pedicabs with a battery rack installed in the frame ($100 option) as they may choose to add the electric assist at a later date. We offer many models and options to meet your needs. To order your new pedicab, we ask for half of the total as a deposit to begin assembly. Balance is due prior to shipping.
